What ages are your parties for? Are the parties strictly for girls?
Affordable Princess Parties offers parties appropriate for ages 4 on up. Our Princess and Royal Tea party are perfect for younger girls ages 4-7. For older girls ages 6 thru early teens, our Dah-ling Diva or Spavelous parties are perfect. Our Cuddly Creations animal stuffing party is great for any age. We are happy to work with you to customize the activities, games, and crafts based on the ages of the children in attendance. If you have a little Prince that will be joining the Royal Celebration, we can certainly accommodate His Majesty’s presence, and will ensure that special crafts, costumes, and accessories are available for his enjoyment.

What is the duration of the party?
The Princess Party Package is 2 hours in length, and includes dress-up, make-up/nails session, games, an age-appropriate craft, as well as time for cake and gift opening. The Royal Princess Tea Party Package is 2 1/2 hours in length, and includes dress-up, make-up/nails session, Royal Coronation Tea Party, games, an age-appropriate craft, as well as time for cake and gift opening.

What is the minimum and maximum number of children permitted at a party?
Parties may be scheduled for up to eight (8) or more children. If less than eight (8) attend your party, you will still be charged for eight (8) children. Parties with over 12 children require a second hostess and you will be charged $60 additional. The Birthday Girl is included in the final count.

Do I need to send my own invitations?
As part of our all-inclusive standard packages personalized theme-oriented invitations are included (up to 8). We'll even mail them for you at no charge! If you require additional invitations, there is a $1 per invitation charge you would incur. You will be able to select which invitation you would like customized. Upon receipt of your personalized information, we will design the invitation and post it to a secured web site for you to approve on-line in a simple, easy to follow process. On this site, you will be able to approve the invitation or make any necessary changes. Then, all you'll have to do is email the guest list and we'll take care of printing, personalizing, and mailing the invitations for you. In addition to the providing guests' names and addresses, please designate whether they are male or female and include their ages.

What do you mean by “Royal Glamour Session”?
We'll work with you to identify what you think is suitable for the intended guests, based on age appropriateness. You will have the option of allowing all children to be treated to a “Full Royal Glamour Session,” including a full make-up session of lipstick, blush, eye shadow and nail polish, or a “Full Royal Glitter Session,” including clear lip gloss, hair glitter (via hair spray), face glitter (to be applied to eyes and/or cheeks), and glitter nail polish (clear with sparkles).

If boys are invited, what types of services do you offer them?
At Affordable Princess Parties, we understand that young male guests may feel a little overwhelmed knowing that they are going to a "princess party." We take great pride in treating all our party guests with care, respect, and courtesy. We will ensure their comfort and enjoyment by bringing Royal costumes suitable for a Prince, a Knight, or a King. His Royal Highness will be treated to face painting and tattoos, while the ladies are enjoying the make-up/nails session. You will also be able to select a special craft and place setting fit for a King. You can even select from our a-la-carte options for special Prince Goody Bags, Balloons, etc.

What happens if there is inclement weather?
Affordable Princess Parties will do its best to uphold any party commitment it has made; however, we do value the health and well being of our hostesses as well as your family and friends. In the case of severe weather, Affordable Princess Parties will contact you to discuss the situation. We reserve the right to reschedule your party, and will proactively work with you to identify a suitable new date, based on mutual availability. If you choose to cancel your party without the consent of Affordable Princess Parties, please remember, your deposit is non-refundable.

If the weather is nice, can I choose to have a party outdoors?
Weather permitting, a party may be held outdoors provided that while the children are wearing Affordable Princess Parties’ attire, they are not permitted to be on grassy or dirt areas. Some great places to have an outdoor party include a decorated garage, patio or deck. Affordable Princess Parties will not be responsible for providing or applying sunscreen or bug spray. If either is used, you will be held responsible for any damage to Affordable Princess Parties’ costumes or accessories. Also, please keep in mind if you choose to have your party outdoors, we recommend that you also have back-up suitable indoor space to accommodate the number of party guests should the weather turn undesirable.

What happens if Your Royal Highness (a.k.a. the Guest of Honor) becomes ill prior to or on the day of the party?
We will gladly work with you to choose an alternate date for your party, based on mutual availability. You will be responsible for notifying the party guests. Should it be necessary to re-send invitations, there will be an additional charge of $15 to print new customized invitations (postage and handling is included).

Who takes care of a guest who becomes ill, does not want to participate, or displays unruly or unwanted behavior?
A guest who is ill, a disruption, or a distraction will need to be attended to by you or the child’s parent (if present). Affordable Princess Parties’ responsibility is to ensure that all guests are having an enjoyable and memorable experience. We will not sacrifice the enjoyment of all for the disruption of one.

What happens if a guest arrives late?
Because our parties are based on a pre-determined schedule, they work best when all guests arrive on time (the time stated on the invitation). If a guest should arrive late, she may join the party already in progress. For example, if the Royal Court (a.k.a. the party guests) has already completed the make-up session, and has moved on to the Royal Coronation Ceremony, the late guest must skip the make-up session and join in the ceremony. A late-arriving guest will be allowed to select a costume and accessories; however, the child’s parent or you (as the client) will need to assist the child, while your Affordable Princess Parties Hostess tends to the needs and activities of the group as a whole. This is necessary in order to provide the least amount of disruption to the party, and your understanding is appreciated.

May Parents and/or Siblings of Guests stay for the party?
We encourage parents to stay and enjoy the Royal celebration, provided there is ample room to accommodate them and their noise level is kept to a minimum, so as to not distract the children. Unexpected guests and/or siblings of guests (who were not included in the final RSVP headcount) may stay as long as they are supervised by you or another parent, and do not prove to be a disruption to the group as a whole. Please remember, some of our accessories and craft items contain small parts that may not be appropriate for very small children. Children not included in the final headcount will not be permitted to use any items brought by Affordable Princess Parties.
